Capturing the Real You
The Experience

Lifestyle sessions outdoors or in the comfort of your home.
Having a photo session with me is all about you. The whole experience is meant to be exciting, comfortable and a memorable time where you (and your loved ones) shine as I capture your precious moments. Whether your place of comfort is in your home or outdoors, I want to accomadate you to make sure we get the best results.
How it Works
Step 01
Getting comfortable
Getting to know you and your story before your session goes a long way to help make our session run seamlessly. I want to be able to accommodate your needs for each session, whether it be for a family, newborn or portrait session. Communication is the key formula to ensure everyone is comfortable before a session.
Step 02
Being your beautiful selves
On the day of your session, in your home or outdoors, the goal is for you to be comfortable and relaxed. The best shots are always the ones that are effortless and not overanalyzed. Having fun and doing you will always win out. If you are ever in need of coaching, I will be there to help.
Step 03
Editing your photos
The photos taken during each session will be shared with the client and the client must communicate which photos they want edited. All photos are edited to the highest standards of artistry and technical integrity.
Step 04
Choosing memories to treasure
The final and sometimes most difficult step is to choose your set of edited images. I will take tons of shots on the day of your session to make sure I have adequate content only a set number will be edited and sent to you.

HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD I BOOK MY PHOTOGRAPHY SESSION?As soon as possible! I will only schedule 2-3 photo sessions per week and 2 weekend sessions per month so the schedule will fill up quickly.
-
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR TO MY PHOTO SESSION?Wear clothes you love and that match each person’s style and personality. Do not dress everyone alike. Dress as formally or casually as you’d like. I’ll modify the style/feel of the session based on your apparel. Wear clothes that don’t wrinkle easily, and iron your clothes. I charge extra for wrinkle removing during retouching. Black is the most flattering color if you’re concerned about your weight. It hides a lot! Match your eye color. You’d be surprised how much this can do for your eyes! Look around your house at where you would like to hang the photos, like your living room, and match the colors of your outfits to your decorations so that your photos will coordinate with your house. When in doubt, neutral colors and earth tones always photograph well. Pick a few colors and mix them up so that you all coordinate without looking the same. Don’t forget to plan the shoes, too! Finally, remember you’re never fully dressed without a smile. Brush and floss those pearly whites before your session.
-
WHAT SHOULD I BRING TO MY FAMILY PHOTO SESSION?Snacks for young children Your child’s lovey or favorite stuffed animals/toys (go with it… it is something you will want to remember later!) If yours is an outdoor session, please use bug spray. We may go into fields and areas that have ticks and mosquitos.

WHAT PRECAUTIONS ARE TAKEN TO ENSURE MY BABY IS SAFE?This is a very important topic for me. I have adopted the following safety precautions: I will wear a N94 mask throughout the session. I received the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine on March 18th & April 12th, 2021 and the Moderna booster on 12/8/21. I will thoroughly wash my hands prior to handling your baby and whenever we take a break during your session. If I have any cold or flu symptoms, I will notify you prior to your session. I will refund your session fee if I am unable to photograph your newborn within two weeks following your scheduled session. At your request, I can refer another photographer for newborn photos and will refund your session fee if you do not wish to wait. I will not pose your infant in any glass or ceramic objects. These objects are subject to shattering and grave injury. I will not suspend your baby above the ground, a pillow, or cushion, in a cloth, hammock or any other prop. Though these photos may be done safely with Photoshop, I don’t want to create works where a baby appears to be at risk of injury. Baskets and other props that may become unstable will be weighted down inside with 10-20lb weights and/or be held steady with your hands, later to be edited out. Any time a baby is posed on a table, stool, or bench, an adult will be present within six inches from the baby and will later be edited out of the photo. I will not pose your baby on top of or against a pet. Animals are much too unpredictable. We can however, get photos of your baby and pet together in other ways! I thoroughly clean and sanitize all props and soiled linens after each session (all linens that touch a baby’s bum are considered soiled). Though I take every precaution to keep your baby safe, the responsibility of your infant’s safety is your own. I encourage you to speak up if anything makes you uncomfortable during your session. No photo is worth your precious baby’s health and life.
